Marketing/New Business Development Manager
Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and self-manageable candidate to become part of our growing team in Nashville, TN. We provide full-scale professional IT Services for a number of small to medium sized businesses in the Greater Nashville area.
As the Marketing/New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building market position and demand generation through business development activities such as competitive analysis, creation of marketing and sales information and development of strategic plans focused on acquiring new client relationships and overall profitability for the company. The core focus of this role is to successfully achieve sales forecast objectives to support our sales staff and long-term objectives of the company. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies marketing opportunities by understanding client requirements, competitor’s share, competitor’s strengths and weaknesses and research of competitive products by evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising
- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product positioning and coordinating new solution development.
- Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, and implementing advertising, merchandising, and developing field sales action plans while forecasting projected business establishing targeted market share.
- Executes annual net income plans by projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzes trends and results; recommending selling prices for services and products.
- Implements marketing and advertising campaigns to assist with the execution of sales forecasts; planning and organizing of promotional materials and inventory; attendance and organization of trade shows; maintaining databases; preparing reports.
- Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, new product information; relaying customer services requests.
- Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements such as promotional materials; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
- Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Successfully executes organization goals and mission by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
